BizKidz International sponsored our first project in Piumhi, MG, Brazil.
Projeto Sinhana Eva opened
its doors on 20 January, 2004, with 12 young people...six girls and six boys. As of July 2008, there are more than 200 kids participating
in the project. The project is locally owned and is receiving support from local individuals, businesses, and government in addition
to that provided by BizKidz International..

The project is managed by Darci Garcia de Melo, a native of Piumhi. She has served on the local municipal counsel for the rights of children. She has nearly 20 years of banking experience, and has produces adult education courses for rural people in the region. Contact her (Portuguese only) at:
