BizKidz International Projects

Biz Kidz of Brazil co-sponsored the first project in Piumhi, MG, Brazil.
The Kidz of BizKidz Brazil

Projeto Sinhana Eva opened its doors on January 20, 2004, with 12 young people - 6 girls and 6 boys. Currently there are more than 200 kids participating in the project. This initial project is locally owned and now receives support from local individuals, businesses and government, in addition to that provided by BizKidz International. In the spring of 2009, BizKidz of Brazil began to undergo restructuring into BizKiz International, largely headed by President of BizKiidz Int'l, Juan Collazo. The founder of BizKidz of Brazil, Mr. Bob Hand, remains onboard as Chairman of BizKidz Int'l. We are now reorganizing and developing new projects in Colorado and working on growing and going...International!

For most of the Kidz, there are handicraft projects where the Kidz are taught skills in embroidery, creating tapestries, wall hangings, and household items with fabrics. These products are in turn sold to fund the entire operation. But the Kidz do more than work at their crafts ...there is time for playing games, sports, building relationships and learning the skills that they will need to become successful entreprenuers in their grown-up years (and before?). There is also a donated computer lab where the children twice a week learn the skills they might need in a workplace or cyberspace.

In addition, the BizKidz model teaches self-sufficiency and sustainability within communities. Gardens established in Piumhi and tended by the Kidz cultivate both healthy foods for their meals and a revenue source for the project. A portion of the produce is marketed to nearby neighbors, the proceeds going back into supporting the gardens. The Kidz, while learning the skills needed to produce for themselves, begin to see the benefits of service...of profits placed back into the Projects in order to create opportunities and hope for a better future.

BizKidz International

Since restructuring, BizKidz International has begun doing the necessary networking to create new projects around the country and the world...but not without investing locally. A community garden was planted, and the first BizKidz Farmer's Market & Grill was created and runs April thru October. We are looking for more opportunities to set up new markets and grills, looking for new coordinators, and, of course, lots of interested BizKidz!

In addition to the Farmer's Markets & Grills and other services, we are currently developing BizKidz Coffee & Tea, setting up a BizKidz Café, creating a cosmetics and jewelry program, and bringing it all together into our upcoming BizKidz Online Shops, a marketplace for BizKidz products..

Internationally, negotiations are under way to establish BizKidz projects in a number of countries, including: Ecuador, Brazil, Russia, Haiti, Puerto Rico, Germany, Mexico, Peru, Italy, Chile, Columbia, India, Costa Rica, and closer to home, around the United States.

We always welcome contact with interested parties. We are in need of project ideas, coordinators, and donations of time, talent, and treasure...help us expand the BizKidz Mission!
